1. The Name

Lamborghini is named after the founder of the company Ferruccio Lamborghini.

2. Lamborghini’s Founder

The story of Lamborghini’s inception is as captivating as its cars. 

Before delving into the world of sports cars, Ferruccio Lamborghini initially started his business by manufacturing tractors. Lamborghini Trattori, his tractor company, was a huge success and provided the financial foundation for his venture into the luxury automobile industry.

He decided to create high-performance sports cars to rival the likes of Ferrari, his biggest inspiration.

3. The Bull Logo

The Lamborghini logo was chosen by Ferruccio Lamborghini, whose zodiac sign was Taurus – which means bull in Latin. The bull symbolises strength, power, and the fearless nature of Lamborghini vehicles.

The logo has undergone a few changes over the years. In the early days, the logo featured Miura’s head-on silhouette. Later, it evolved into the iconic charging bull that adorns the front of Lamborghini cars today.

4. Lamborghini Car Names

Ferruccio Lamborghini had a passion for Spanish bullfighting. This is why many Lamborghini models bear names associated with bullfighting or bull-related themes. 

For example, the Miura is named after a famous fighting bull breeder. The Aventador is named after a legendary fighting bull that demonstrated outstanding courage in the ring.
